Story of the Month Sep’16: My shoulders slumped. I began to tremble again, and this time, I realised that it was a different sort of tremble. I was laughing, actually laughing, and what more, I was literally laughing in the face of Death.
The fat man almost jumped in glee. The gullible little chap was scared his golden nest would be raided, and he wanted it over with. Struggling to contain his grin, the fat man agreed.

Her eyes went wide. The sound of her heart was now unbearably loud. She began to tremble, her legs shaking like jelly. She grabbed the table beside her for support.

The door splintered and the men crashed into the floor. Abhay got a quick glimpse of a violet nightdress, and something else…something red and orange. Then, the screaming started.
Ouro looked completely devastated. His whole posture had slumped on seeing the kid walk right into what would soon be the path of a truck.
“Whoa,” he said in a hoarse voice as the ring glimmered. David’s throat had gone dry, his heart thudding against his ribs. His mind went blank .
His fingers trembled as they drew on the wall, out of the assailant’s line of sight. Müller drew in one final breath, determined to complete his message.
