Summer vacations started we all packed up our bags for going to granny’s home situated in a small town of Uttrakhand known for its beauty and greenery. We were all very excited ,my sister who is younger than me started putting all the sort of board games to be played in free time. I was very keen to see my granny as she always told many stories which were sometimes humorous, motivational and sometimes even spooky.
This time she was again with a new story as expected ready to dictate. This story was about a boy named Chotu popularly known by this name among the people of that town. Chotu was a very smart boy quick in all kind of math calculation inspite of not ever being to school . He was very kind ready to help others yet being a 12-year-old kid. He used to work in a clothe shop which was specialised in selling saris. My granny was also a regular costumer of that shop . And there only he met Chotu for the first time. He showed her all the latest collections .
My granny felt really bad from as she wanted him to study at school but inside she knew that he was the only earning man in his house . Life for Chotu always worked like a schedule in which he earned money and fed his family. But ways took a turn for him when one night he was sleeping alone in the shop store-room in order to guard the shop from the hands of robbers when a short-circuit took place and every thing in the shop nor a piece of cloth was left not even Chotu.
After this incident the owner went through a major loss. So, he closed the shop but one thing never changed it was Chotu ,every night he roamed about the streets for help crying and sobbing but no one dare to help him.
But fed up by this usual night event the people of that street did all the sort of poojas and havan to calm Chotu’s spirit .After this Chotu’s soul got peace but one thing got proved that we people don’t change when Chotu was alive he helped everyone but when needed help no one came in front . Today also no one can forget Chotu who saw him with their eyes .This story really busted me into tears .It touched your heart also .There are many Chotu around us they only need just a little ray of light in their life just a little hope .You agree??
