Kids Short Story of Fairy Tales – The magical land

Anu a pretty little girl wanted to go for a long walk. She decided to take her pet dog, Goofy along. Goofy wagged his tail and was happy to go outdoors.
She and Goofy walked miles and forgot their way back home. Anu and Goofy were by now very thirsty and hungry. Suddenly she saw a small cottage and ran towards it with a hope of getting some water. The door of the cottage was open. As they entered the cottage, the door shut by itself and both were amidst a magical wonderland.
The place was filled with trees of apples, cherries and oranges. Anu plucked some cherries and ate them. No sooner Anu was turned into a Queen. Her gown was adorned with diamonds and had a crown on her head which had a beautiful quill attached.
Anu and Goofy were tired and sat under an apple tree. Anu looked up and saw an owl in its nest. Up there in the sky she could see eagles flying high up. Far away she saw a giraffe eating leaves atop a tree. An ostrich was fast asleep on a cozy quilt. Nearby she also saw some goats and cattles grazing fresh grass. Ants making antill. The whole place had sweet fragrance that would delight any one. She felt so calm, relaxed and happy to see all living in a harmony.
As she was watching the moves of various animals, someone hopped on her lap, it was a rabbit who bought her carrots. An elephant came and gifted her a lotus. Monkeys entertained her with their dancing skills. She was so overjoyed with the generosity. All the animals were adorable. None of them harmed them.
After a while both got up and walked ahead. Now it was time for sunset. Anu was thinking of her parents and how worried would they be? They could not find a way out to their home.
Both witnessed something sparkling, they went up in that direction and saw an elegant castle. They stepped in. They were welcomed by eight dwarfs. They told Anu that the castle and wonderland belonged to them and the visitors were treated royally. They served Goofy milk and Anu a wholesome meal. It was night time, Anu requested the dwarfs to show her the way back home. The dwarfs guided Anu and Goofy to a door at their backyard. Anu bowed to them and Goofy wagged his tail to express ‘Thanks’. They slided into Anu’s courtyard. As she glanced back to see the door that led them here, she was astonished to see that it had vanished and she too was back with her old clothes. She hurried in and hugged her parents.
Anu and Goofy were mesmerized by the amazing experience they had at the wonderland.
