I Regret ….

“I know I am not a poet, not creative either. I have achieved nothing, but has wasted all.

I tried enjoying life but forgot, life can only be enjoyed with a strong foundation of hard work.

I sit in my hostel’s mess and think life’s a mess. That the moment only, when I realised, this is only my ‘enjoyment’ would fetch.

So, with a Reynolds pen in my hand, I feel like writing whatever I can.

You are not a poet shouted my friend, I replied back, ‘I am a nobody my friend’.

So with a determination to write something, I took a paper and down my thoughts.”

I REALISE …

Here I am, walking on the road of life,

Painful is the path, hurts like a knife…

It’s always the same question in my mind,

Life is a diversion, or of the same kind???

Parents told me, my future is my hand,

But I let it pass, just like sand…

Easy was the time, I passed my school,

Now I realise, with this, future won’t be any cool…

From dusk to dawn, I try working on past mistake,

But its too late now, my life is at stake…

Oh past! I wish I could have studied earlier,

Dear present, you would be swift and easier…

Forever this regret will reside in my heart,

Blurred is my vision, don’t know from where to start…

I miss my family, I miss my friends here,

This is the reason, my eyes have a stroke of tear…

I look round my room, I am so confused,

But the walls are plain, no tricks for my pain to be reduced…

The regret is endless, I can’t bear it anymore,

Life is probably a bi*ch and I am a wh*re

But I will learn, learn from my past,

And won’t wait for any magic to be cast..

‘Cause there’s someone, who had said,

The best way to predict future is to create
