A Poem – Lies Thy Lies

With that innocent face u smiled,
Your face beaming so wide
No matter how much you tried
You were never able to hide
I had always known that you lied.
I had always known that you lied.
You had your reasons
And may be they were good
You wanted things to be nice
By keeping it under the hood
What you did not know
That even I tried to ignore
Rather than yearning for more
But alas all failed
With that plastic face that you wore
You turned my wounds all sore
Whilst I kept looking for the shore
And you,
With that innocent face u smiled,
Your face beaming so wide
No matter how much you tried
You were never able to hide
I had always known that you lied.
I had always known that you lied.
I act plain,
And behave sane
And let the unbearing pain grow
But still I try not to show.
Long before in my life,
There was a lesson I learned
That with a sad face,
And a foul mood,
There is nothing to be earned
But then you walk around me
Sounding all nice
As if nothing was wrong
As if there was no vice

I wanted to trust you,
You were one of the few
And thats why it shook me so hard
Because Oh!
Damned it was you
Maybe you didn mean it
Maybe you were just afraid
I thought I was one of your friends
Why didn this come into your head?
Why didn you try to tell
And hope that things would turn out well
Why hadn’t you believed
In the bonds that we had weaved
No matter how much you tried
You were never able to hide
